Skybet are hoping to launch SportXction ™, a new wagering software, on its internet service Skybet.com this summer.
Interactive Systems Worldwide Inc today announced its subsidiary, Global Interactive Gaming Ltd, has extended its recent agreement with Sky Bet to include the launch of the new product.
SportXction ™ is a real-time software system which will allow the player to make play-by-play wagers on a sporting event as it is in progress.
The wagers offered will be mostly oriented to short-term actions. For example if you are watching your favourite football team and fancy a bet, the software will allow you to wager on each play of the game. If your team wins a penalty shot, you can bet on what the next move is likely to be.
The wagers will have associated odds which relate to the probable outcome of the wager. The odds are adjusted in real time to balance the pool using proprietary artificial intelligence software to reflect player sentiment, as derived from the betting patterns.
The new system can be used with almost any sport and can be delivered across a range of digital media. Whereas the current system only allows two potential outcomes, the new release will allow wagering on propositions with multiple possible outcomes.
Barry Mindes, Interactive Systems Worldwide Inc, said of the launch, “We are pleased that Sky Bet’s customers will be able to not only play our game using their TV at home and also, thanks to this deal, from wherever they have internet access.!!!
